Joanna Hoffman, EA

Joanna Hoffman is president/founder of CA&TS and the firm’s Enrolled Agent. After spending 13 years in corporate financial management with Allied-Signal, Joanna pursued her lifelong dream of small business ownership in 1996. In 2005, Joanna earned her Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, after passing all four parts of the exam in her first sitting. Joanna grew up in Franklin, KY and graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BA in accounting. Joanna and her husband, Charlie, live in Raleigh and she loves to travel & visit National Parks. She’s an avid Kentucky basketball fan and enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Bijal Khatiwala

Bijal just marked her 5-year anniversary with CA&TS as a staff accountant working alongside Joanna and with the bookkeeping team. Bijal started her accounting career in 2002, and she is the rare professional who still looks forward to working on financials each day. Bijal holds three accounting degrees: a BA and MA from Mumbai University and an Associate’s degree from Durham Technical and Community College. Bijal lives in west Cary with her husband and two sons; she is an avid football fan, loves to bake and enjoys watching all types of movies.

Annmarie Kas

Annmarie joined the CA&TS team in 2018 as a bookkeeper/business support specialist when she relocated to NC from New Jersey. Annmarie’s career in accounting spans 15+ years, working in four different specialty areas (bookkeeping, payroll processing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.) Annmarie studied at Rockland Community College and Wake Technical Community College and holds two certificates in accounting. She is raising two teenagers with her husband in Clayton; in her free time, Annmarie enjoys baking and genealogy.

Tina Wise

Dora Cash

Dora celebrated her 15th work anniversary with CA&TS in 2021 and she has filled several practice management roles in her tenure. Currently, Dora manages all aspects of live payroll processing and compliance reporting for our small business employers. Dora is working toward her BA in business administration from North Carolina Central University, and she enjoys spending time with her family (two daughters and five grand-daughters) and riding her motorcycle. Dora and her husband, Keith, live in Apex with their two cats.

Kyara Ferguson

Kyara interned with CA&TS in 2021 as the Seasonal Tax Administrator, and she joined the payroll team full time while continuing to pursue her Associate’s Degree in Accounting & Finance from Wake Tech. Kyara is originally from New Jersey, and she now resides in Clayton with her son (an elementary school student who aspires to be a chef when he grows up!) Kyara loves to travel (she’s visited most of the East Coast states) and Germany, Thailand and the West Coast are on her bucket list for future adventures.

Sara Webster

As practice administrator, Sara provides client service support for the entire CA&TS team; she is very familiar with CA&TS systems and procedures. Sara has worked with CA&TS since 2018 when she interned in the Durham office for two years in addition to working with clients directly as a bookkeeper. Sara is a NC native and a 2019 UNC-Chapel Hill graduate with a BS in sociology. Sara lives in Graham with her husband and her newborn son. When she’s not working or parenting, Sara enjoys thrifting to make old things new again.

During the tax season, our Wake Tech accounting interns provide client service at our front desk. They connect clients with the  appropriate CA&TS team member to insure an excellent customer experience.
